ETH Zürich ESOP Award (Click for News Article)

The Excellence Scholarship and Opportunity Programme (ESOP) award is a graduate scholarship that provides financial support and mentorship to students studying at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich; awarded by the ETH Foundation based on outstanding academic performance and the quality of a master’s thesis pre-proposal.


APEGA Past Presidents’ Medal in Engineering

This medal recognizes engineering students graduating with the highest academic standing in their respective disciplines; eight medals are yearly awarded at the University of Calgary (one for each engineering department) and are donated by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).

Enbridge Corporate Sustainability Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes academic excellence, leadership, and engagement among students majoring in geology, geophysics, or a related engineering discipline, who have a minimum grade point average of 3.50/4.00.


Stephen P. Williams Memorial Award

This scholarship recognizes an undergraduate geomatics engineering student in their final year of studies; awarded based on academic merit and extra-curricular activities demonstrating leadership.


Frank L. Meyer Memorial Award in Engineering Leadership

This award recognizes an engineering student based on academic merit and participation in the Engineering Leadership Program.


Louise McKinney Post-Secondary Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes students in Alberta based on exceptional academic achievement; annually awarded by the Government of Alberta. I received this on two occasions: once in 2019 and again in 2020.

This scholarship recognizes an undergraduate geomatics engineering student in their second or third year of studies; awarded based on academic merit and involvement in extra-curricular activities related to engineering.

This scholarship recognizes and encourages students to continue their studies in geomatics; awarded based on their community involvement and career interests.

Jason Lang Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes students in Alberta for achieving a minimum grade point average of 3.20/4.00 on all courses in the previous year of studies; yearly awarded by the Government of Alberta.


International Baccalaureate Highest Standing Award and Scholarship

This award recognizes the student at St. Mary’s High School who obtained the highest International Baccalaureate (IB) score in their graduating class; it is typically awarded one year after high school graduation.

University of Calgary International Baccalaureate Diploma Entrance Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes students entering the University of Calgary based on academic merit and having completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme with a minimum score of 35 points.


University of Calgary President’s Admission Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes students entering the University of Calgary based on high academic achievement and having an admission average of 95.00% or more.


Alexander Rutherford Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes students in Alberta based on consistently high academic performance throughout high school; it is awarded by the Government of Alberta.


Highest Academic Average in Grade 12

This trophy recognizes the student at St. Mary’s High School in Calgary who obtained the highest academic average in their graduating class.
